PUBLICATION OF PROCEEDINGS This conference was organised by the Institute of Historic Building Conservation and the Civic Trust for Wales, and was the second in a series of conferences on the historic environment in Wales which the two organisations are presenting. It took place on 14 July 2006 at the National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth, and was attended by over fifty participants. It was chaired by David Lovie, President of IHBC, and Paul Vanner, Chair of the Civic Trust for Wales. We are publishing texts from each speaker on this site. We will also publish key papers in our magazine. Please bear with us while texts are in preparation. In addition we offer the presentations used by the speakers at the conference. These are provided as Powerpoint or pdf files in versions suitable for download on a broadband connection. Each presentation has also been converted to a web page format but because of the process each slide is rendered as a single image. David Plaisant's slides were mainly visuals and these have been integrated into a text version of the talk.
