Visitors who attended appreciated the ‘behind the scenes’ nature of the event.
Big Pit: National Coal Museum

This was our first involvement in the Open Doors programme and we were pleased with the numbers we attracted (397 visitors in three days).
St Peter’s RC Church, Roath

Our event went really well, as it was out first time. We gave out feedback forms and 48 of those were returned, all with extremely positive feedback. Many thanks for including us in the scheme – we would love to do it again next year.
Gregynog Hall, Powys

We were really pleased with the event. We had twice as many visitors as for Open Doors last year!

Open Doors days offer free access to properties of historic and architectural importance. Taking place every September they are part of the wider European Heritage Days programme. There are separate programmes in Scotland, Northern Ireland, London and England, and in the member states of the Council of Europe, which promotes Heritage Days internationally. Mae Drysau Agored yn cynnig mynediad am ddim i eiddo sydd â phwysigrwydd hanesyddol a phensaernïol. Mae’r digwyddiad yn rhan o raglen Diwrnodau Treftadaeth Ewropeaidd eang, a gaiff ei gynnal yn ystod pob mis Medi. Ceir rhaglenni ar wahân ar gyfer Yr Alban, Gogledd Iwerddon, Llundain a Lloegr, ac aelod-wladwriaethau Cyngor Ewrop, sy’n hyrwyddo Diwrnodau Treftadaeth yn rhyngwladol.
