Assembly consults on Environmental Strategy

Streetscene: Haverfordwest

The Assembly Government's consultation on its draft Environmental Strategy, a key component of its efforts to define a sustainable future for Wales, runs until 3 October. It offers detailed information about the environmental issues we all face and suggests the key outcomes that should be achieved over the next twenty years. Six broad chapters define the key areas of the strategy, dealing with climate change, landscape and seascape, resources and ecosystems, biodiversity, quality of life, and structures and processes. Outcomes should be supported by measurable targets and specific actions, with mechanisms to monitor progress.
