The Llandaff Society
The Civic Society for the Cathedral City of Llandaff, Wales

Founded in 1977, our aims are

—to stimulate public interest and civic pride in Llandaff
—to promote high standards of planning, architecture and design
— to promote the provision of public and community facilities
— to enhance the quality of life
—to secure the conservation of features of architectural, historic or public interest
— to promote environmental and social sustainability

We hold open meetings regularly during the year and undertake practical projects. Our Millennium Project embraced botany, ornithology, photography, computer technology and many other activities. We publish a newsletter four times a year. We have also published an extensive series of Occasional Papers.

The Committee meets monthly with an AGM held in October. A newsletter is issued quarterly to members free of charge., Throughout the year meetings are held in the Parish Hall, Llandaff (off the High St), when talks are given on a variety of subjects. There is no admission charge and non-members are always welcome. The Society enjoys the support of the two ward councillors.

The Society enjoys dialogue with the Rhiwbina Civic Society and the Radyr and Morganstown Residents' Association through many common problems.

The Society has an extensive archive.
