Background
This seminar was organised by the Civic Trust for Wales. The intention was to offer an
informal opportunity for participants to discuss their expectations and aspirations for
the role of the National Assembly in the fields of planning and urban design. The hope was
that, apart from offering a stimulating discussion, the proceedings will be useful to the
Assembly as it develops its approach to policy and builds partnerships with the people and
institutions of Wales.
