This document is advice to the Minster for Heritage from his Historic Environment Group, an advisory forum of national and local organizations convened for the Minister by Cadw. The aim of this document is to:
• articulate the issues and opportunities facing the historic environment in Wales;
• identify the priorities for possible action by organizations or partnerships; and
• provide Ministers, boards of governors, local authorities and other leaders with a strategic overview.
The document has been produced by the Historic Environment Group with advice from its member bodies and was revised following consultation with the sector at, and after, a stakeholders’ conference.

Mae’r ddogfen hon yn rhoi cyngor i’r Gweinidog dros Dreftadaeth gan ei Grwˆ p Amgylchedd Hanesyddol, fforwm cynghori yn cynnwys sefydliadau cenedlaethol a lleol a sefydlwyd ar gyfer y Gweinidog gan Cadw. Nod y ddogfen hon yw:
• egluro’r problemau a’r cyfleoedd sy’n wynebu’r amgylchedd hanesyddol yng Nghymru;
• nodi’r blaenoriaethau o ran y camau posibl i’w cymryd gan sefydliadau neu bartneriaethau;
• rhoi trosolwg strategol i Weinidogion, byrddau llywodraethwyr, awdurdodau lleol ac arweinwyr eraill.
Lluniwyd y ddogfen gan y Grwˆ p Amgylchedd Hanesyddol gyda chyngor gan ei aelod gyrff ac fe’i diwygiwyd yn dilyn ymgynghoriad gyda’r sector yn y gynhadledd i randdeiliaid amgylchedd hanesyddol ac yn dilyn y gynhadledd honno.
